Rating

The participants will search for various types of stones ranging in size and taste in order to create a welcome decoration. Recommended age: 7 years and up.

Materials

  • Medium stones collected along the way
  • An area to work, if there are tables much better.
  • Glue to stick the stones (Ex: Pattex 100%, transparent multi-material glue)
  • Black and white paint
  • A brush for each participant

  1. On this occasion, everyone will create a welcome decoration.
  2. Collect some smooth stones that you like (10 maximum), that are medium in size and shape. Find a large rock to serve as the ornament’s base. You have 5 minutes to complete this task.
  3. Return to your starting point and begin creating your ornament with the stones and your imagination; you have 10 minutes.
  4. Choose the ten stones based on your preferences and the number of family members or people who live in your home. For example, if your family consists of five people, simply select that number. For instance, consider the Stone that represents Dad: Marco. Set aside the other stones so that they can be used as the ornament’s base.
  5. Then, paint the eyes on each stone and write the name of the family member it represents on the front, continuing with the remaining stones.
  6. When they’re all finished, place them on the large base stone where they’ll all fit.

Also on the base paint the phrase: Welcome Flintstones Family or the last name of your family, for example LOS UMAÑA RIVAS

  • Find a location with a variety of smooth stones to collect beforehand.
  • Make sure there are no other dangerous objects or biting insects in the area.
  • The site must have a table or work area.
